Plaited high grade Flax, thoroughly lubricated then completely encased with a layered Babbitt Lead wrapping and Graphited.

This construction affords the optimum in the protection and longevity of new shafts.

Identifiable by a red tape run continuously through the inside of the packing, this style is designed for use with new tail shafts and liners.

Conforms with MIL-P-16374A, Symbol 1405, Navy 33P33.
